Description

Fitch is still the quietest of the Anarchs. Without adornment, he is about six foot tall and pretty well built. His eyes laugh at some joke no one else seems to get and his hair is short, brown and spiked. However, on any given night, he may be wearing any number of new tattoos, piercings and hairstyles. He always tries to push the limit and some of the anarchs joke that when body mod finally crosses into amputation, Fitch will probably be the one to push it over the edge.

Notes

  • Haven: One of six crash pads in the Barrens used by the Anarchs (ST's design)
  • Large tattoo on his back never changes. In fact it's a source of irritation that he can't heal the scratches that Jasmine etched across it while she Embraced him.
  • These are Fitch's glory days. He was never this happy or well adjusted, in fact, when he was a mortal. He's not sure he digs the politics however...
  • Jennifer is all right. Nelson would sometimes make fun of you, because you were quiet, but Jennifer doesn't.
  • Wants to help Pixie and Juniper, though he isn't sure what is driving him to do so. In fact, it is the subconscious pushing of the Nosferatu known only as "Beta."
  • Is a little worried about Lottie being in the Barrens. Would probably challenge her if he confronted her (After all, he takes pain so much better than his compatriots).
  • Clan Flaw: Is addicted to pain. A true masochist, Fitch is more likely to jump in front of a Mack Truck than to take drugs or alcohol. This does not extend to opium-laden vitae. This reminds him of his Sire and he occasionally takes some to bask in the nostalgia.

Fitch was a quiet child. His parents were happy to let him be that way, too, what with his six older siblings. Being a quiet child, raised among four older brothers, most of whom were only a couple years older than himself, Randall learned to take a hit at a young age. Indeed, part of him came to see abuse as a form of affection.

In the fifth grade, some of his more progressive teachers began inquiring as to the surprising number of bruises the boy sported. This inquisition ended when they saw him dive off of the monkey bars repeatedly. At the time, it was written off as a boy being a boy, albeit a particularly rambunctious one. After all, none of the other Fitches were beaten up that way.

Randall continued inflicting pain on himself and became more and more introverted, though he was not unfriendly to those around him. They just thought he was strange. However, he had learned to hide his abuse in junior high, when some of the other students began to make fun of him.

Then, in the late 70's, Fitch heard of a new trend that was going on in Britain called punk. The music was all right, if a bit loud in his opinion, but he could certainly find an outlet in the body modification the punks practiced. As soon as he could afford it, saving his money from working McDonald's after school, he paid a biker to tattoo his back with a large, intricate image of a dagger-pierced heart. He fell in love with the process, but his poor, conservative parent's had other thoughts. They kicked him out of the house for his own good.

Randall moved in with his oldest brother John and his girlfriend Jacky, who had an apartment in one of the seedier parts of town and had been a hippy for quite some time. He was rarely there, though; the clouds of opium smoke tended to dull the pain that he had come to love so much. Jacky seemed to take a strange interest in this young man who looked like a punk, but did not even seem interested in the fashion. When John finally walked in on his brother and girlfriend writhing naked on the floor together, he angrily threw them both out into the street.

For the first time, Randall actually felt real fear at having to support himself. Jacky tried to quiet him, showing how to work the streets, but he still let his wounds heal and cut his hair, in an attempt to get a real job. He was finally hired by a local fast food place that needed a fry cook. By day, he flipped burgers, but at night, he would spend his time in Jacky's arms, using fishhooks to perforate the skin on his belly while her nails dug wonderfully painful gouges in his back.

One night, in the height of passion, Jacky's eyes glazed over and instead of nipping his neck like she usually did, she bit down hard. Randall felt the most wonderful pain he had in his entire life. Even as he felt his consciousness waning, he could not fight her.

He woke to a haze of opium smoke and the worst hunger he had ever felt in his life. After he had fed on the neighbors in the tiny apartment next to their own, Jacky enlightened him to his new reality. At first it bothered him to have to inflict pain in others, but then he realized how it brought them closer to understanding his own pain addiction, as the Kiss is as pleasurable as it is painful. The two stole a VW bus and left town that very night.

For most of the 80's the two travelled the United States together. In 1989, the two parted ways on good terms in London, as Jacky wanted to see Europe, while Fitch chose to remain in the birthplace of punk. Every night, he could be found at one underground club or another, sporting new peircings and often tattoos, though only the one on his back lasted. One night, in 1995, he met a Vampire like himself, who called himself Sin. As Fitch had only blossomed after becoming one of the Kindred, he was fascinated by the young man's dark charisma and agreed to return with him to the city of Milhaven.

The two have been good friends for a long time, working with Nelson and when she came on the scene, Jennifer Phillips. Lately however, Sin seems a little distant and Randall has been speaking to a mysterious and unidentified Kindred through letters and muffled telephone conversations. The Nosferatu purge has also unnerved Fitch, for some reason he cannot totally identify.
