Jennifer was raised with her twin brother, David by their wealthy family's servants. While her brother decided to study the family business, she reacted to her parent's lack of attention slightly less favorably. She got into trouble often until her family's Chinese manservant, Liu Feng offered to teach her what he knew of self-defense. Her parent's approved Feng's offer and she set to training in the martial arts. At first, she strained against the discipline, but soon she came to see Feng as a father-figure and she began to respond more and more enthusiastically to his teaching. When she was 15, she attempted to seduce Feng, unsuccessfully. This only made her obsess about him more.
Meanwhile, her brother came to her with the secret that he was gay and the two grew closer. Jennifer began to study extremely hard, both academically and in Feng's sessions, trying to win his approval. She graduated high school two years before her brother and went on to college, graduating with a bachelors in Political Science when her brother was graduating high school. From there, she enrolled in law school. Unfortunately, in her second year of law school, everything fell apart. First her parents died in a car accident, leaving her and David to run The Candelabra, the ritzy hotel/restaurant their parents owned. Soon thereafter, Feng grew ill and Jenifer devoted all of her free time to helping the older man. When he died, Jennifer dropped out of school, for a quarter, grieving with her brother and attempting to keep The Candelabra afloat. She served as her brother's legal advisor and after a few months, returned to school.
Things seemed to be becoming normal again, when something horrible that Jennifer can't remember happened. All she can recall is that somewhere along the way, she was made into a vampire. She awoke one dark evening on a rocky, litter-strewn beach in Hell's Triangle, a strange short sword lying next to her. She barely made her way for a week, before she was discovered by the Anarchs. After interrogating her, their leader, a Brujah named Nelson, thought the caitiff would make a nice snack. However, she fought him and managed to stake him, leaving him on the hood of a burnt out '56 Buick to greet the sun. Since then, the Anarchs have accepted her as their new leader.
Recently, her brother was Embraced by the Prince of the city and sent to her, to make peace. However, she has a deep hatred of the Prince and is currently playing him. She is conspiring with her brother, who is really loyal to her, to take Reinhardt down.
Author's note: Reinhardt is Jennifer's sire. This is obvious if one knows her merits and flaws, which are those that are passed down through the Reinhardt line, for unknown reasons. He does not recall this, as he does not keep that much track of his victim's mortal lives. However, she is to date, the only escapee from his twisted "hunts."
It should also be noted here that she possesses the Lost Leaf of Carthage, a powerful artifact that she isn't even aware she has. It is hidden in a small compartment in the hilt of the short sword she still has as her only clue to what happened. Several factions are currently seeking the Leaf, and its companion artifacts, the Key to Hell, and the Crimson Chalice.
