Description

Beatrice is obviously not comfortable in the ragged punk styles the Anarch's wear when they go out. Sometimes, she will work up the guts to wear the loose-fitting clothes that allow her to fit into the background. Jennifer has recently been encouraging her to do so, after noticing how easily she disappears. Her common features and lack of peircings match her quiet demeanor to make her look the most unthreatening of any of the Anarchs. Her most noticable features are her green eyes and red hair, which she almost always wears in a ponytail. Her expression varies between a quiet withdrawn look that means Sparks has been abusing her again, or a child-like joy that means that one of the Anarchs has paid her a complement.

Name: Beatrice Lowe
Born: 1970 A.D.
Embraced:1995 A.D.
Apparent Age: Early Twenties
Generation: 9
Sire:James Torrance
Clan: Brujah
Nationality: American

Beatrice was the young wife of a controlling and abusive husband. Randall Lowe, her husband made her life a living hell. Her only pleasure were the night classes he occasionally let her take. It was in those classes she met Prof. Torrance, who seemed to find her quiet intelligence interesting. She would often stay a few minutes after class, just to speak with him, doing her best to hide the fact from her would-be jealous husband. She also secretly developed a crush on the Professor.

One day, in a fit of drunken anger, Randall decided to wait outside of her class to see where she really was. She happened to spend only 15 minutes in the classroom with the Professor, but it was all Randall needed. When she came out into the deserted street, he snuck up on her and struck her in the back of the head with a large rock. Torrance heard the commotion and came outside to witness Randall beating the living crap out of one of his favorite students. Then everything went red.
When he awoke, Randall's body was broken into several pieces and Beatrice lay on the ground, quickly dying from blood loss. In a moment of insane sadness, Torrance fed her his vitae, making her into his Childe. He then took her to Lee's home to clean her up and explain things to her. Beatrice didn't react well and when she got her first chance, she escaped Torrance's Haven. He let her go, knowing to force her to stay now would only make things worse.

She wondered alone for several days, mourning her loss of her former life. Then she was rescued by Jennifer from a group of drunken college boys intent on killing a supposed vagrant. Beatrice fell in with the Anarchs and has been with them since.

Recently she as begun to make attempts at starting up relations with her Sire, though these have been mostly soured after her Embrace of Sparks, whom she found reminded her of her former husband in a way she thinks she needs.

Notes

  • Sire of Sparks
  • Haven: One of six crash pads in the Barrens used by the Anarchs (ST's design)
  • Does not like Reinhardt - Jennifer's pursuits of an alliance with Torrance against Reinhardt has heavily influenced her decision to make contact with him again
  • Skittish of the Nosferatu - She pities them too much to avoid them though
  • Terribly afraid of the "Curse of Milhaven"
  • Looks up to Jennifer - Is beginning to realize subconsciously that Sparks' Embrace may have been a mistake
  • Fairly Naive - Has been sheltered most of her life by abusive men. However, she is also easily cowed as a result. Jennifer mostly keeps her around to keep others from using her.
